Lab-grown diamonds: the same stones at an honest price

A lab-grown diamond is not an imitation and not a "diamond-like crystal". It is carbon in the same cubic lattice, with the same Mohs hardness of 10, the same brilliance and the same fire. Neither the eye nor a loupe can tell it from a mined one — only lab equipment reading growth traces can.
Stones are grown two ways. HPHT reproduces mantle conditions: pressure and temperature. CVD builds the crystal layer by layer from carbon plasma. Both produce real diamond; it is then cut by the same hands and rules as mined rough.
Every stone of ours from 0.5 carat ships with an IGI or GIA certificate — the same labs that grade mined stones, on the same 4C scale. The certificate number is laser-inscribed on the girdle and verifies on the lab's site in a minute.
Why cheaper? Because the mine, the traders and the monopolies drop out of the chain — technology and cutting remain. The same beauty costs several times less, and that is not a discount for compromise; it is honest cost.
One more argument: a grown stone has a transparent biography. No conflict regions, no open pits — a reactor, a lab, a cutter, a certificate. For a stone bought as a symbol, provenance is part of the meaning.
